Yes I am talking about girl’s fetal death in India. Finding out the sex of the child by sonography is illegal in our country, still people do this. Now also there are families who celebrate on a boy's birth and mourn on a girl's birth. They feel having a daughter is a burden. Social stigmas like dowry, illiteracy, sexism etc adds to the acceptance of this.
Today in each and every field girls are performing equal to the guys, sometimes much better than them. As a mother, sister, friend, lover, wife, daughter she makes each day of our life special. Have you ever thought why god gave the power of giving birth to new life only to women? When god himself made her so special, why everyone is not ready to accept it? In India where woman is worshiped as Devi, fetal death of girl child is a real disgrace of humanity.
Today there are 927 female/1000 males in India, and the number is decreasing day by day. These are not just numbers, but the sign of bigger problems coming our way. On the celebration of womanhood, I request all women to save the woman clan. And all the men please stand up against fetal death of girl child. We all need to work together for strengthening the Indian woman, So that no girl ever says “aagle janam mohe bitiya na kijo”.

the issue here is not whether a woman is holding powerful governmental posts or not,just a few women in powerful positions does not and has not changed the way world looks at women.its abt the basic lack of respect for womankind that is imprinted in the psyche of ppl.the attitude of most men towards women makes a woman feel sorry for being a woman and wishing that she too were a man.true today the world does salute the few women who have managed to make their own mark but the ground reality does not change, a woman is still expected to look after every household need(every whim of the family) irrespective of her education and career. If she is illiterate or financially dependent then she has to be subservient(not even free to voice her opinion), if she is financially independent even then she is expected to be subservient (free to voice her opinion but not insist on having things her way).So it does not matter, no matter how many times this issue is raised, the male ego cannot accept the truth, men and women are capable in their own unique ways of managing things, but the way these actions are looked at will take a long time to change. the stupid logic:If a man helps in household chores, he is caring but for a woman its her duty, if a man works day in and day out, he is struggling for the family, but if a woman does it well she's wholly career-minded and selfish. why cant it be the same scale to evaluate man or woman, after all both are human-beings first...

I have tried to bring your attention towards the fetal death of girl child.
In many Indian villages still girls are killed just after the birth. men/women ration is very poor in UP, Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, J&K. we live in cities but India is a country of villages, so that’s the base line. when woman in villages are powered then Indian woman will be powerful.
and about reservations. Government did that so that the girls in villages will also get educated. Because our society is male dominated, government is giving one helping hand towards the woman. It is to motivate the families to let their daughter study, who stop them due to financial issues.

i m not sure abt fetal death..its all B**L S*** ,india has really come far i guess ,and "fetal death" used to happen decades before ,i do read news papers everyday ,even ahead of my course books bt now days i find such news rarely u shld agree wid me on this......only news in newspapers are some terrorist attacks..... i m not trying to create any problems here...

I think the real question is why is female foeticide so prominent
The primary cause is dowry, which is prevalant even among educated upper class. Government has made it a legal crime, it is still extremely prevalant.
And when I walked into a gold store recently, and looked at the prices, the first thing I said is: "No wonder there is female foeticide".
And about the guy saying no to dowry,who would say no to free cash? very few and far in between people.
